  • Baviaanskloof Heritage Tours
    The Baviaanskloof, once South Africa's best kept secret, is steadily becoming better known as one of South Africa's "must" places to visit. This wonderland is an ever changing selection of scenery and vegetation types ranging from fynbos to lush riverine forest.   • The Water Tower
    A circular double-story with an interesting past, the Water Tower sits in a pleasant garden in the heart of Nieu Bethesda. This quirky building was first a water tower and then a Buddhist meditation room. With whitewashed walls and wooden floors, it is a calm and clean space from which to enjoy the famous Karoo sky, day or night.
  • Kuzuko Lodge
    Also known as the “Place of Glory”, Kuzuko Lodge is built high upon a hill in a private section of the northern part of the Greater Addo Elephant National Park. It is here where breathtaking views from your private veranda are complimented by luxurious chalets and warm, attentive service. Spectacular cosmic safaris, day and night game drives and time spent in our wellness centre are but a few of the ways in which you can truly experience this unique and glorious place. Guests are housed in 24 luxurious chalets, each with a private deck offering spectacular views of the malaria free Karoo bushveld of the big five park below. All chalets, three of which are wheelchair accessible, features an en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, direct dialling telephones, free wireless connectivity and data cable points.     Somerset House was built as a school in the Colonial style in 1905 in Paulet Street which was the first street to be built in Somerset East in South Africa's Eastern Cape.   • The Old Parsonage Museum, Somerset East
    Shortly after the establishment of the town of Somerset, 1825, land on the slopes of the Boschberg Mountain was given to the Wesleyan missionaries for a chapel and graveyard.
  • Olive Schreiner House Museum, Cradock
    Olive Schreiner, the famous South African authoress, who amongst many other literary works, wrote "Story of an African Farm", lived in this house at 9 Cross Street in her youth, between 1867 – 1870.
  • Urquhart House Museum Graaff Reinet
    The large erf at the southern extremity of Market Square, on which Urquhart House stands today, was granted in freehold to Johan Hendrik Greyling on 1 January 1806, which places it amongst the earliest plots transferred into private ownership.
  • Old Library Museum, Graaff-Reinet
    While limited privately sponsored library facilities were available in Graaff-Reinet from about 1818, it was not until 1847 that the citizens of the town established a public library, subscribing funds to build the central building in Church Street.
