  • Wild fly fishing in the Karoo
    The Angler & Antelope has secured exclusive access to several dams and stretches of river in the Somerset East district for fly fishing. When you fly fish these exclusive Angler & Antelope waters, you will experience the majesty of the Karoo, with no interruptions – well, except maybe a trophy sized trout at the end of your fly line!
  • Baviaanskloof Heritage Tours
    The Baviaanskloof, once South Africa's best kept secret, is steadily becoming better known as one of South Africa's "must" places to visit. This wonderland is an ever changing selection of scenery and vegetation types ranging from fynbos to lush riverine forest. It is also populated by a wide selection of animals from the seldom seen leopards and buffalos, through various antelope species to the ever present baboons and tortoises.

  • Haaspoort Private Nature Reserve
    Nestled in the Winterhoek Mountains of the Eastern Cape, Haaspoort Bushcamp and Private Nature Reserve captures the serenity and beauty of the Karoo. The Bushcamp is situated on a 2000-hectare malaria-free private game reserve, home to a large variety of wildlife and rare flora.
  • Koffylaagte Game Lodge
    Koffylaagte acquired its name from being a regular stop on the old wagon route inland from Port Elizabeth and UItenhage. The original farmstead, dating from the 1870's, is now the main accommodation on the Koffylaagte private reserve.
  • Allemann se Huisie
    Centrally situated in Nieu Bethesda, Allemann-se-Huisie is a cosy, self-contained garden cottage, with twin beds, kitchenette and shower and toilet en-suite. Sip sundowners in the garden and watch the sky fill with stars or braai some delicious Nieu Bethesda Karoo lamb.
  • Keurfontein Country House
    Keurfontein is situated on the N9 between Willowmore and Uniondale easily accesible from the main road. It is therefore the ideal stopover for travellers between Gauteng and the Gardenroute.
  • Kuzuko Lodge
    Also known as the “Place of Glory”, Kuzuko Lodge is built high upon a hill in a private section of the northern part of the Greater Addo Elephant National Park. It is here where breathtaking views from your private veranda are complimented by luxurious chalets and warm, attentive service. Spectacular cosmic safaris, day and night game drives and time spent in our wellness centre are but a few of the ways in which you can truly experience this unique and glorious place. Guests are housed in 24 luxurious chalets, each with a private deck offering spectacular views of the malaria free Karoo bushveld of the big five park below. All chalets, three of which are wheelchair accessible, features an en-suite bathroom with bath and walk in shower, mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, colour television, direct dialling telephones, free wireless connectivity and data cable points. Children of all ages are welcome at the lodge and may accompany their parents on game drives.
  • Outsiders B&B
    A haven on the high street, Outsiders B&B is centrally situated but offers the calm and privacy of a secret hideaway. Comfortable, en-suite double rooms with private entrance and stoep from which to observe the daily passage of village life.

    Experience an important piece of South African history in this historic building with Victorian furniture, old world charm and unsurpassed hospitality.   • Lowlands Country House & Manor
    Lowlands Estate is a beautiful sheep, cattle and pecan nut farm on the Fish River 30 minutes North of Cradock.   • Urquhart House Museum Graaff Reinet
    The large erf at the southern extremity of Market Square, on which Urquhart House stands today, was granted in freehold to Johan Hendrik Greyling on 1 January 1806, which places it amongst the earliest plots transferred into private ownership.
  • Reinet House Museum, Graaff-Reinet
    The Graaff-Reinet Museum or “Reinet House”, formerly a Dutch Reformed Church parsonage, was built at the expense of the Government in 1812 during the ministry of the Rev. Kicherer. It was the home of three ministers prior to 1822.
  • Military History Museum Graaff Reinet
    The Military History Museum is the most recent addition to the Graaff-Reinet Museum Complex and was established in 2005.
  • The Old Parsonage Museum, Somerset East
    Shortly after the establishment of the town of Somerset, 1825, land on the slopes of the Boschberg Mountain was given to the Wesleyan missionaries for a chapel and graveyard.
