Description

Cheetahs in the Wild

Our Reserve Manager, Gerhard de Lange’s passion for conservation has led Kuzuko down a very special path, especially in the conservation and wilding of captive born-and-bred cheetah. To share this passion with you, and to welcome you in making an impact in conservation we offer you the opportunity to join our trained guides in tracking some of these individuals.

Khoisan Cultural Exploration

At Kuzuko we believe that preserving cultural heritage is just as important as preserving our natural surroundings. As such, we are proud to provide guided walks where visitors can view Khoisan rock paintings that are approximately 400 years old. These ancient rock paintings are situated outside the main reserve on a 1500 acre Educational Reserve.

Junior Ranger Programme

Children who are signed up for this programme receive dedicated attention from their ranger. This ranger will answer all their questions and teach them about plants, birds and ‘spoor’. During their family’s two or three night stay junior rangers go on nature walks and sit up front with the game ranger on game drives where they learn how to work with the radio and spotlight. Each junior ranger receives a branded T-shirt and cap.  Upon completing the programme junior rangers receive a certificate.

Nature Walk

This walk is intended to provide guests with the freedom to explore the unique landscape and its natural fauna and flora with a ranger in an area where there are no Big 5 animals. Giraffes may be encountered. All ages welcome.
