Steytlerville Museum and Open Air Museum

Description
Some stories don’t live in books… they live in what’s been kept.
In objects that have outlasted the people who used them.
In details someone decided was worth holding onto.
As part of Steytlerville’s 150-year celebration, the town museum officially opened at The Royal,
a space filled with pieces of what came before… and the quiet stories they still carry.
Not everything here asks for attention. Some things… You simply step into and feel.
And maybe that’s part of 150 years, not just remembering the past…
but making space for it to still exist.
The original museum was established in 1967. The museum includes clothes, household implements and memorabilia, and focuses on the history of the town and the surrounding farming communities.
As you enter Steytlerville there is also an Open Air Museum to your left with an exhibit of farming implements and late nineteenth and twentieth-century everyday home equipment. Most of the exhibits on display were donated by local farmers.
