Waterkloof Tented Camp is hidden deep in a kloof between mountains at the foot of the Winterberg, just 13 km from Adelaide and 20 minutes from Bedford.

Waterkloof blends the romance of canvas with the ease of comfort – a warm shower at the end of the day, and a Lapa area and Bush Kitchen where fires crackle and suppers stretch long into the evening. Here, camping becomes glamping, offering space to retreat without losing the soul of the outdoors. Wake to a sky that changes colour over the dam, perhaps slipping into its cool water before breakfast. Wander the farm paths, spot Kudu or Nyala on the slopes, or cast a line into the dam stocked with bass. Bring binoculars – birders will be spoilt – or simply sit still long enough to notice how the land moves around you. Evenings are for gathering around the fire under a canopy of stars. It’s a place where silence has weight, the air carries the scent of wild grass, and days unfold in the slow rhythm of nature.

Children can delight in the freedom of wide-open spaces.
In the winter months (May – August), hunting is also available by prior arrangement.

Accommodation is intimate yet varied. Couples will love the Nieshout Glamp Tent, a private retreat with queen bed, en-suite bathroom, and a deck with sweeping dam views.
Families and groups can choose between the Kudu Camp (4-sleeper) or the Nyala and Bosbok Camps (3-sleepers), each with comfortable beds, solar lighting, and access to the nearby ablution block.
At the centre, the Lapa and Bush Kitchen is fully equipped, with everything from gas stove and freezer to braai equipment and string lights that make evenings glow.
