Rietbron Dutch Reformed Church

Description
The Dutch Reformed Church in Roetbron was built in 1910. At that stage the church was still served from Willowmore. A separate congregation was established in 1913. The first pastor, J. R. Alheit, was confirmed on 18 April 1914. The old church was demolished and the current church was built in 1953 after a fire destroyed the original building.
It is unique in that it boasts the only Springbok weather vane to grace a church steeple in South Africa.
They also have an impressive unit pipe organ with beautiful Embuia wood inlays that symbolize “the flight of sound”.
