Karoo Ridge Conservancy

Description
Karoo Ridge Conservancy is an eco-rangeland where we restore and conserve our 5 000-ha landscape as a viable and sustainable wilderness area. With genuine nature conservation our passion, and “farming for biodiversity” as our mechanism, we manage the property’s natural resources and diverse inhabitants as sustainably and responsibly as possible whilst incorporating the farming aspect. At Karoo Ridge we farm cattle alongside wildlife. Our two eco-lodges welcome guests to experience the natural beauty and wilderness of the Karoo. When you stay with us, you will play a role in protecting and preserving the unique environment of the Karoo.
River Lodge – Tucked away in a scenic valley overlooking the Groot-Brak River you will find the River Lodge. With 4-bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it is perfect for larger families, families with small children, or groups of friends traveling together.
Mountain Lodge – In the foothills of the Suurberg Mountain, the Mountain Lodge has sweeping Karoo landscapes and sky views. With 2-ensuite-bedrooms, it is perfect for couples or small families with older children.
Star Bed – Enjoy the celestial wonderland and spend a night on our star bed during your stay at Karoo Ridge. Count shooting stars and admire the constellations which become visible through the night as the milky way stretches right across the sky. The star bed is tucked away in a secluded private valley and this outing can be enjoyed as a romantic evening for couples keen for some adventure.
Activities on Karoo Ridge include Guided Evening or Morning Game Drives, a Guided Nature Walk, a Guided Tour to our Bushman Paintings, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Bird Watching, Mountain Biking and Hiking.
