Dedicated to sustainability, 18 on Mark operates almost completely off the power grid. The units are designed with energy efficiency in mind.  They don’t have air conditioning or heaters, but do provide fans and electric blankets.  They also use treated borehole water, ensuring you have fresh drinking water available.

You can choose between two types of accommodation: a well-equipped, self-catering cottage (Lavender Cottage) which sleeps 2 adults or a small family (maximum 2 children), and a cozy stopover suite (Blue Gum Suite) suitable for an individual or couple.

The spacious Lavender Cottage is designed for 2-4 guests, offering a comfortable and well-equipped self-catering experience. It features a separate bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. The cozy living area includes WiFi and a cozy fireplace, while an additional single bed and loose mattress in the lounge make it ideal for small families.

Step outside to enjoy a private, enclosed garden with a covered patio, braai facilities and a lovely area to relax while enjoying and open skies of the Karoo. Guests have access to a shared splash pool for those hot summer days.
Pet-friendly for small to medium house-trained dogs (maximum of 2). Secure parking is provided.

The Blue Gum Suite is a private suite with its own entrance, perfect for an overnight stay.  It includes a double bed, en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, Wingback chairs and a table with chairs, which could double up as a work space if on a business trip.  A small kitchenette with an undercounter bar fridge, microwave, kettle, everything you need to make a cup of tea or coffee, cutlery, crockery and glasses.  There are unfortunately no facilities to cook in this unit. Enjoy free WiFi and a complimentary breakfast tray.

Relax on the stoep in the late afternoon with a sundowner, and experience a true taste of the Karoo.
