The St Lawrence Anglican Church situated at Tafelberg Station near Middelburg was built by J S Distin and consecrated by Bishop Webb of Grahamstown on the 15th February 1894. It was the first Anglican Church built in the area. Like many Karoo churches, it is slightly off the beaten track, but if history is your thing, then it is well worth a little detour. It is still being used for services and weddings.
